Prepare your Google Play testing summary
Bring your actual testing records together before completing the production-access application. Clear notes are more useful than memorised answers.
What to gather
Google asks affected developers about recruitment, tester engagement, feedback, the app’s intended audience and readiness for production. Check your eligibility in Play Console first, then use Google’s current application guidance alongside your own records.
- Testing dates and the build versions people used.
- The tasks testers attempted and which features were covered.
- Feedback received through your chosen channels.
- Changes made, with issue references and retest results.
- Known limitations and your reasons for considering the build ready.
Use evidence you can explain
For each statement, ask where it came from. A report about a confusing screen should link to the task and feedback. A claim that a bug was fixed should identify the newer build and the check performed on it.
Keep “we asked testers to try this” separate from “testers completed this.” Mark missing observations as unknown rather than filling them with a plausible answer. Your notes should describe your app, not a generic success story.
Summarise without copying a script
Start with a short description of how the test was organised. Group recurring feedback into themes, explain the changes you actually made and record anything still unresolved. If feedback did not lead to a change, note the reason instead of claiming there were no issues.
The worksheet is a preparation tool, not an answer generator or a promise of approval. You submit the application yourself and remain responsible for its accuracy.
Connect the records
Use the test plan and log to organise tasks, and the bug-report template for reproducible findings. If Google asks for another testing period, review the actual notice with our more-testing checklist.
